For a nine year-old car, that's not bad!

2) Fuel Economy... it has a 2.4 liter engine, which means it's a 4-banger. According to my research that gives me highway mileage of 30miles per gallon. Consdiering how much driving I do for work and the fact that fuel prices aren't dropping anytime soon, I'll gladly trade a little performance in order to save a few bucks at the pump!

3) Price. You say you paid 3K for your car back in 2003. Well, that was at a time there was a glut of used cars because of the 0-percent financing that the auto manufactuers were offering at that time. Which means the bottom fell out on the used car market and you could get some good cars dirt cheap.

But now that people are hanging on to their cars and NOT trading them in for the latest gas guzzler, there's not a lot of used cars going around... thus, the price has risen significantly.

I also ran the numbers on this car with Kelly Blue Book AND the National Automobile Dealers Association, or NADA. Both groups said that a car like mine ranges from $4500 on the low end to $5400 on the high end.

Considering that, and the fact that all the Chevy Malibus in this area had over 150K miles or were priced in the 7-8 thousand dollar range, I think a radio not working the best (actually, a co-worker told me it could be the antenna) is a minor inconvenience.

Besides, all that power stuff is just more stuff that can go wrong.Jackrabit1https://www.blogger.com/profile/15819146935849889760noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22975224.post-76205516656336165432008-06-10T21:35:00.000-05:002008-06-10T21:35:00.000-05:00dude what kind of car is this, that you paid 5G's ...dude what kind of car is this, that you paid 5G's for and the radio doesnt even work - cmon man I bought a 96 camry back in '03 for 3G's and it was fully loaded with leather/Sunroof/Disk Changer/Alarm/power everything - man you really need to get someone who knows a lil about cars to come with you next time! take careAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
